ISO 14064-1 Corporate Carbon Footprint Calculation
ISO 14064-1 is a standard that specifies principles and requirements at the organization level for quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and removals.
It includes requirements for the design, development, management, reporting and verification of an organization’s GHG inventory.
ISO 14064-1, provides the necessary requirements for the determination of GHG emissions limits for an improved greenhouse gas management, the calculation of GHG emissions and the specific measures that must be taken by an institution. It also specifies the terms for inventory quality management needed for verification activity, reporting, internal inspection and the institution’s responsibilities.
Institutions’ carbon footprint calculation provides the following
Showing the actions they are taking on environmental issues and climate change,
Determining the liabilities and risks of GHG and their management,
Acquisition of necessary information to implement an effective strategy to manage and reduce GHG emissions,
Establishment of a performance based management system for GHG inventory and reporting,
Increasing transparency, reliability and consistency in GHG evaluation, reporting and verification.
SEEM; konusunda uzman kadrosu ile kuruluşunuzun sera gazı emisyonlarının hesaplanması ve çalışanlara eğitim verilmesi konularında hizmet vermektedir.
Product Carbon Footprint Calculation
At the present time where the fight against climate change is gradually becoming more crucial, a company that fulfills its responsibilities towards the environment is a reason for preference for the consumer.
The carbon footprint calculation provides insight about the sum of GHG emissions during the full life cycle of a product or service and their efficient management in order to reduce emissions. The full life cycle of a product involves every stage from the extraction of the raw material from mines to complete the product life by the end user and ultimately its disposal.
SEEM’s offers carbon footprint calculation services according PAS:2050, GHG Protocol or ISO 14067 standards.
Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA)
Airport Carbon Accreditation is a certification standard allowing the efficient management of carbon emissions of airports. All airports aiming at developing a long-term strategy to control their GHG emissions by restraining their environmental activity can apply to this licensing.
ACA helps detect airports’ carbon emissions and improve their cost/benefit performance.
As an authorized body of the Airport Carbon Accreditation organization; SEEM’s team of experts provides the above services.
Monitoring, Calculation, and Reporting of GHG Emissions
The “Regulation on Monitoring of GHG Emissions” has been published by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization.
Institutions subject to the regulation are responsible for the following:
Prepare monitoring plans and present them to the Ministry,
Monitor GHG emissions and prepare the emission reports according to the plan approved by the Ministry.
SEEM; with its staff of experts in specific fields, provides consultancy and training services on the creation GHG monitoring plans, GHG emissions calculation and their reporting.
